Lace making using “bobbins” is a traditional craft and can be considered as a type of weaving. Threads are interwoven, often making intricate and very fine detailed patterns.
However, the technique can be applied on a larger scale using thicker threads or even wool or wire!
To master the basics, you will need some bobbins, a suitable surface (“pillow”), pins.
I offer group or individual tuition to help get you started, see workshop programme for details

Contemporary Lace
As well as the traditional lace in fine threads, wire and wool can be used to give a different effect.
